>Poop

>My 2 1/2 Year old has been doing so great with the potty lately.
I thought I would share this with you.

Here is something that I found that works:

Of course there is the potty dance and special sticker.

But Samantha is very very proud now when she does poop in the potty.

We are very proud of her too!

So, each time she takes a poop I take a picture with my camera phone.

Now she expects a picture to be taken.

She gets very exciting about pooping because I take a picture and she can show everyone.

We have to flush the poopy but pictures last forever.

Taking pictures for her has really helped a lot. We have 3 poopy pictures so far. I told my hubby with all the weird art out there, I am going to open a gallery with hundreds of her poopy pictures. Someone will like it and call it art.. lol.

I would have posted it to my blog ~ but I love all my readers and don't want you to click the unsubscribe button.

>Potty Training-How Do You Begin and When Does It End?

>I would surely love to know those answers. Being a first time mom I am certainly no expert. I am lerning about potty training just as much as my daughter Samantha is. It is hard for the both of us.

My daughter is now 22 months. I started the process of potty training her 2 weeks ago. At first all I would do is put her on the potty first thing when she woke up. It became routine and she got used to it. Every mornin she would pee I would praise her.

Then I began to put pull ups on her, and I let her decorate her potty. At first she would tell me "no undies, pamper!" I told her we had no more pampers and she is a big girl and big girls wear big girl undies. Something about the undies and being wet made her uncomfortable. So I decided no more pampers.

She has had many accidents but she is learning well. The other day we went to the mall and she told us "poopies." We rushed her as fast as possible to the toilet and she made poop. Not every poop makes it to the potty but when they do we celebrate and make a big deal out of it.

Yesterday she decided "No little potty, big potty." so now we put the seat on our potty and I guess it makes her feel big to use the big potty. She enjoys it more.

It is definitely a learning process for all of us but I think we are getting somewhere.I am very very proud of her. Hopefully by the time she turns two in october she is pretty much trained.

>Potty Time

>So Samantha is 21 months and we decided to potty train her full time now. And by gosh it is surely difficult. Although I must say she has been cooperating much better than I expected her to. We bought the huggies pull ups training pants and at first she said no, pamper. She wanted a pamper on, not training pants. So I guess there must be something that makes them uncomfortable.

The other night she decorated her potty, about an hour later she went poopy for the first time in the potty. I was so proud. I took a picture. I wanted to post it. It's a cute little poop, but I decided as cute as I think it is, you guys probably won't agree, or would rather just take my word on it.

Yesterday her grandma took her to the movies and she even did pee in the the toilet there. She went like 8 times yesterday. Today she went twice before we left the house. I think we are on to something here! After she goes potty we reward her with a sticker.

So wish me luck on this wild journey of potty training. I will keep you updated !

>A Long Week This Is!

>Ok so do you want to hear the good news or bad news first?

Bad news: Still no hot water.

I failed to mention to you guys that Sunday when we got home from Jersey we had no hot water and the air condition didn't go on. We called the landlord yesterday and she checked the fuse and now its fine (we don't have access to them.) But still no hot water.

I made the mistake of giving Samantha an ice pop last night. Oh geez, the mess she made with it. She ended up having a sponge bath. I heated some water on the stove and poured it in a bowl with a bit of soap. The landlord said she would have the problem fixed today. So let's keep our fingers crossed.

Good News: Samantha used the potty this morning!

This morning when I woke up I went to the bathroom and Samantha fllowed me in. Then I pulled down her diaper and asked her if she wanted to do pees with mama. She sat on the potty and peed. I am so happy! The road to potty training is very very difficult. She got a special sticker and was very proud, as was I.
