In the Mind of a Three Year Old

Isn't it crazy what kids think??

Last night I was putting my daughter to sleep. I read her a book then we talk about our day. She said to me all teary eyed "Mama I don't want to go to the hospital, I am scared of needles." I said "Sweety, why would we have to go to the hospital? Everything is fine."

She then continued to tell me that when she is older and has kids that she will have to go to the hospital to have them taken out and she is very scared.

I told her it is okay to be scared and I was scared too, but she has a long way to go before she starts thinking about kids.

It is crazy what goes throught the mind of a three year old!

  1. and sometimes what they think is way deeper than we as adults care to delve... my son at age 4 or 5 asked me, "Mommy, God made everything, right? So, then who made God?" I told him that was a very good question and I did not have an answer, which he willingly accepted. But darn if he did have me thinking about that for a while. ;-)

  2. All two year olds have tantrums, and can resist parental direction, notes Dr. Fernandez. The behavior really deserves attention when “no”. it doesn't change without a huge fight.
