Driving... Arggh.

Recently my husband got a new job and his hours have been insane. I love in Queens and work in Manhattan. My mornings and evenings and life has been crazy. I was always so used to him driving the girls and I around but now I have to drive and oh boy do I hate it.

In the morning I have to drive my Samantha to school and then Madeline to Grandma's house.
This would be easy except a main street in my neighborhood is closed off for paving.
Why do they do this on crazy hectic mornings? There are about 4 or 5 schools within that vicinity and a ton of traffic.

So after I drop the kids off I have to find parking, which there is never any by the train station. So I park a little bit away. Luckily today alternate side of the street parking was suspended. Normally Tuesdays and Wednesdays it is impossible to find parking because of alternate side parking. I will never understand why it still exists. People should be responsible for cleaning their own mess. I never really see the street cleaning trucks but I will give it the benefit of the doubt that they do exist. In my opinion they are a waste of tax payer money and just an inconvenience for drivers.

Just another frustrating day...

Vote to Give NYC Public School Kids Technology

Public Schools in New York suffer because of Overcrowding and Budget . My friend is a NYC Public school teacher and would sincerely appreciate your votes to bring technology to her classroom. If possible - please help spread the word. my friend is a wonderful teacher and very dedicated to the kids in her class. It would be really awesome if she can win this for the kids! Thanks so much!!!

In the Mind of a Three Year Old

Isn't it crazy what kids think??

Last night I was putting my daughter to sleep. I read her a book then we talk about our day. She said to me all teary eyed "Mama I don't want to go to the hospital, I am scared of needles." I said "Sweety, why would we have to go to the hospital? Everything is fine."

She then continued to tell me that when she is older and has kids that she will have to go to the hospital to have them taken out and she is very scared.

I told her it is okay to be scared and I was scared too, but she has a long way to go before she starts thinking about kids.

It is crazy what goes throught the mind of a three year old!
